Ray-Ban RB3362 Cockpit Polarized Sunglasses

Ray-Ban RB3362 Cockpit Polarized Sunglasses
Overall, great product. Looks stylish, seems quality, but a little delicate. I'm worried about crushing them more then other shades I've had. Great optical clarity. They feel comfortable and stay on well. No complaints....also, this was the best price I could find. They were $190 in stores. HDO had great customer support as well.

This past summer was a horrible summer for any sunglasses I touched. I went through about a dozen cheap pairs that I picked up from local brick and mortar stores. Sitting here I realize that, if I were to add up the cost of all these cheap sunglasses, I could of bought a couple of very nice pairs. I have only owned cheap sunglasses and I wondered if paying a premium on sunglasses is worth it.

Enter the Oakley Mens Crosshair sunglasses

I picked these up because they came to my attention being apart of a sale. I was hesitant due to even the sale price but, as I mentioned beforehand, just a few cheap pairs would cover the cost of these glasses.

They arrived in the mail and come pre-packaged in a simple cardboard box. Within the cardboard box the glasses are protected in a soft cloth bag and also contain a cleaning rag and small info brochure.

I immediately pulled out the glasses and spent the next few hours walking around trying them on and, have to say, I am pretty impressed.

Many of my cheap glasses broke due to poor construction of the frames. These frames feel durable and like they will last. I have a large head that does put tension on glasses. These glasses were able to take the tension yet retain their original shape.

The glasses are not polarized but do a good job on their own protecting my vision from the suns glare. The lenses are the perfect tint and did not block out my vision of the outside world.

I received compliments from my wife and neighbors about how stylish the glasses look. It reminds me of the hoopla during the 80's when Tom Cruise sported "Aviator" glasses from the movie Top Gun and the craze he created.

    PRO:
    ++ Durable construction
++ Compliments on how stylish they look

    CON:
++ For price, only receiving a cloth bag for protection is cheap

    CONCLUSION:
These glasses are well worth the premium paid over regular sunglasses you find sitting on a carousel rack at the local brick and mortar stores. Just watch for the sales when they go on to pick up then.

      Oakley Men's Plaintiff Round Sunglasses

      Oakley Mens Plaintiff Round Sunglasses
Oakley sunglasses are always ahead of the curve when it comes to the latest optics, materials, and fashion. It's a bit much for those of us that don't snowboard for a living, but the Plaintiff brings all of the Oakley tech into a classic look. They're deceptively simple looking, an aviator that doesn't look much different than a pair of Ray Bans or a cheap pair you'd get at the drug store. But they are.

First, the stems are soft and pliant. You'll barely feel them and because they "grip" rather than needing to hook over your ears, they're comfortable without shifting. There's also an ingenious little spring that works very well and is stronger than it looks. Once on, they're very nice. The curve Oakley has put on the lenses gives much more protection for the peripheral vision. Trying these on back to back with a pair of normal, flat aviators will surprise you. There is some "edge bleed" around the nose, but no more than on a regular pair, tho significantly more than more Oakleys.

The materials are all top notch, the Oakley logos are subtle, and the look is (again) classic. If you want to look like you're in the X Games, these aren't for you. If you want a great pair of sunglasses, they are.

I live at the beach and our running path is concrete...so the sun reflects right in your eyes. I've been searching for a pair of polarized sunglasses that were stylish and these are amazing!! Super light weight, crisp and clear vision. Great for running or running errands.

I found them at Sunglass Hut for $150 and got an amazing bargain on them at Amazon!

I recently bought a pair of Ray Bans from these people. Right out of the box I could tell they were fake. First, too light and flimsy. Many spelling errors on the authenticity card. Some how, fakes are sold through Amazon. I understand it is quite hard to do. However, DO NOT buy from these people!!

While the price is high enough to make you think that the product would be new, at least the pair they shipped me was clearly used or a factory second. I ordered RB 3342 Warriors, 60mm in Gunmetal/Green, polarized, and what came in the mail was a torn up Ray-Ban box, no authenticity card, and dirty glasses. The cloth was clearly used (it had smudges on it). The glasses were also crooked out of the case. The real article are a great pair of glasses, but don't buy from the above sellers.

I am an Airline Pilot and one of my quests was to find the perfect sunglasses for a Jet cockpit with Electronic Displays, always had the problem that I couldn't see the displays in the cockpit clearly, so I had to sacrifice by taking off my glasses to be able to read the displays and suffering the glare of the sun.
After searching forums and reading all the possible reviews, I decided to order the Serengeti Velocity Gradient 6692, I took them with me on my next flight, I put them on and WOOOW, AMAZING, very light frame, extremely comfortable even after hours of wearing them, and the Glare is so much filtered that u can basically open your eyes wide and still feel comfortable with the light. and as the glasses are gradient, when i looked down I could see my electronic displays much better than before.
for all you pilots looking for the perfect sunglasses, Serengeti is the answer. the technology is amazing. I definitely recommend it for people who drive or for pilots.

I have a 20 year old pair of Ray Ban Aviators - 62mm, gold frame, grey lens, not polarized. I have always liked them, but I found that they were too heavy. After I had them on for more than a couple of hours, they started to hurt my nose.

A few years ago, I had to start wearing reading glasses. When I purchased them, the optometrist suggested a pair of titanium frames. I can wear them endlessly, because they are so light I virtually forget I have them on.

When I found out the Ray Ban Aviators were now available with titanium frames, I just had to have a pair. These new shades are gold with brown, polarized lenses (58mm). When you hold the old pair in one hand and the new pair in the other, you can really feel the difference. They are almost as light as my reading glasses which have much smaller lenses.

They still have the classic great looks, and are one of the best designs for driving, because of the thin wire arms and semi-wrap around lenses. No more blind spots. I would have preferred the grey lenses of my older pair, but I decided to try out the brown. They tend to "warm up" colors, block blue and increase contrast somewhat, but not to a distracting degree. Also, they are graduated, so the tinting is not as dark on the bottom of the lenses as the top and are not as dense as the older pair. Frankly, there are times when I like the darker glasses, so I plan to keep the old pair.

Personally, I have always thought that Ray Bans were well made, but last week I was talking to a dealer who sells most of the premium brands. He said he didn't know why people thought Ray Bans were so good until he started carrying them. His conclusion was, compared to the other premium brands, they are very good. So if you like the look of the Aviators and want comfortable, lightweight glasses, I think you will love these.

As soon as I pt them on, people were asking me where did I get them from. There not deep tinted sunglasses. What they lack in UV protection, they make up in style. I wore them in a nightclub and pretty much saw everything. (the nightclub was pretty dark.) It has a orange colored band that runs across the frame of the glasses, so be aware if color coodination is your thing with outfits. It didn't matter to me. They are very light weight, and don't slide off your face easily. I love them!!!

They are well worth the price and cheaper than if you buy them at Sunglass Hut or something. They have held up great and look great in person. I am female and was afraid they might be too masculine but I was so wrong.

Maui Jim Breakwall Sunglasses - Polarized
After spending a lot of time in Sunglass Hut and the like trying various sunglasses on for size I eventually selected the Maui Jim Breakwall for several reasons:

                                1) EXTREMELY Light-weight
                                2) Excellent clarity
                                3) Looks
                                4) Price

Maui Jim provides the best lens clarity in my opinion. However, I am generally partial to glass lenses. These being poly-carbonite, it leaves to be seen how well they will hold up over time. Maui Jim's can run up to $300. These were less than $115.

The only drawback (and I knew this going in) is that they feel somewhat flimsy and I get the feeling that, if you are careless with them, they can break pretty easily. Maybe that's why the call them Breakwall. :-D I do take very good care of my sunglasses, so I don't anticipate a problem. But for those of you who have a tendency not to use the case or just leave them lying around...you're asking for trouble! My guess is that the nose bridge would be easy to snap.

With all that said, I've had them for several weeks now and am 100% satisfied with my purchase.

Unlike the large lens Aviator, which I bought last time, this medium lens model comes with the hinged earpieces on the frame. This frame is much more durable and worth the slightly smaller lens size.

These are one of my favorite pair of sunglasses. I've worn this style for years. Unfortunately I lost my old pair a few weeks ago and was disappointed to find out that my old gray gradient lenses have been discontinued. I just received my new silver caravans with a grey lense from Amazon and they are not like what is shown in the photo. The photo on-line is of my old glasses. What I got was a grey mirrored lense. I still like them but would have preferred my old lense and thought that I had found a pair from some old stock.

Bought for my husband as an anniversary gift... but unfortunately just opened it yesterday and noticed that these glasses are not that great. The letter "i" in the word "GUCCI" is fading. The phrase "made in Italy" inside one of the legs is also fading. The right lens (the glass) is about to pop out. These glasses look cheap, I am not satisfied with this purchase, not worth $142. Will return.
